Coaching

LPPLL is chartered by Little League International and follows all rules and regulations published in the most current Official Little League Rule Book.  All managers receive a copy of this publication and use it to teach the children proper league rules and play. Additionally, all LPPLL coaches and managers attend a mandatory coaching workshop that reviews the importance of positive coaching. Ideally, every LPPLL team has one manager and two coaches.

In addition to passing a formal background check, each manager and coach is required to demonstrate an understanding of how to work with children. Little League managers and coaches must be leaders. As adults, they must be sensitive to the mental and physical limitations of children of Little League age and recognize that the game is a vehicle of training and enjoyment.

If you want to become a manager or coach, you’ll have to fill out a volunteer application for a background check. For more information, click here.
