Celebrating

Equipment

As part of the registration fees, each player receives a practice shirt, game jersey, a hat and a team photo. The registration fees also cover other basic necessities and “services” required to play in the league, such as bats, balls, catchers’ gear, helmets, umpires, utilities, equipment, field maintenance, coordination with District 7 personnel and Little League International, etc.

Necessary Equipment

All players need a glove, cleats, and baseball pants.  Boys must wear a protective cup.  A batting helmet is recommended to avoid the potential spread of head lice, although the League will provide batting helmets for player use. Many players choose to purchase their own bat, which can be used as long as it is Little League approved gear. Catcher’s gear is provided by the league.

Bats

The bat must be a baseball bat which meets Little League specifications and standards as noted in this rule. It shall be a smooth, rounded stick and made of wood or of material and color tested and proved acceptable to Little League standards. Approved bats

Uniforms

LPPLL provides all registered players with a practice shirt, uniform cap and jersey (t-shirt).  Players must provide baseball pants, protective cup, cleats, and a glove.  Players who arrive at games out of uniform may not be allowed to play.
