Dooley Fields were built in 1958 on the private property of Holy
Spirit Parish School, Dioceses of Sacramento. Dooley Fields are
named in the honor of Lawrence Bertolani, a Sacramento firefighter
who was involved in the creating and maintaining of the baseball
diamonds. Lawrence Bertolani's nickname was "Dooley". For more than
three decades, Dooley spent many days of his life leaving his
backyard gate to maintain the diamonds so that the children of our
area can play at this special ballpark.
Through the years, Dooley Fields have become the home fields for the
Little Leagues (L.L.) in our adjacent neighborhoods. Originally,
Dooley Fields was the home for Pacific L.L., which was established
in 1959. Respectively in 1994 and 2000, Land Park L.L. (1954) and
Curtis Park L.L. (1950) merged with Pacific Little League.

It is the goal of the Land Park Pacific Little League to implant
firmly in the children of our community the ideals of good
sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority,
so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier children and
will grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens.
